Cyberattack drove fridges to 50°C in 150 French Intermarché stores
Overnight hackers targeted refrigeration systems in 150 Intermarché stores across France, raising refrigerator and freezer temperatures to as high as 50 degrees Celsius, Reuters reported Oct. 12. The incident also affected hundreds of French supermarkets more broadly, shutting down cooling in fresh and frozen aisles. Networked store equipment can create physical risk at scale.
