Microsoft Announces Maia 300 as Primary AI Inference Chip for 2027

Microsoft announced Maia 300, its third-generation in-house Maia accelerator, positioned as the primary inference system for Microsoft products and services. Production rollout starts in 2027. The chip succeeds Maia 200, uses TSMC N2P and a chiplet architecture separating compute, memory controller and I/O.
