Delhi Court Orders Release of Cockroach Janta Party Leaders After Detention

A Delhi executive court ordered release Oct. 11 of Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke and associates Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka after nearly 24 hours in detention linked to Jantar Mantar protests. They were detained on arrival in Delhi Oct. 10. Delhi police said permission for the Oct. 10 action seeking Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation was denied.
