HRW accuses US of unlawfully expelling 500+ migrants to Africa

Human Rights Watch accused the US on 8 October 2026 of unlawfully expelling more than 500 migrants to African countries where they hold no citizenship since Donald Trump returned in 2025. Citing US data, it said Washington exploits suffering to deter migration. Homeland Security said removals remove "most dangerous criminal illegal aliens".
