Police concede Mountbatten-Windsor search warrants were unlawful

Thames Valley Police conceded search warrants for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's properties were unlawful and must be quashed. At a London High Court hearing reported 8 October 2026, Justice Nicholas Hilliard said police made a 'significant error' applying under incorrect legislation for searches of properties in Windsor and Sandringham.
