Bear Kills Man, Injures Woman Inside Ger Near Ulaanbaatar

A bear entered an occupied ger, a traditional tent-like dwelling, in Bayanzurkh district near Ulaanbaatar overnight Wednesday, killing a man in his 40s, Mongolian police said. A woman in her 50s escaped to alert neighbours and is in serious condition in hospital. Rangers are searching for the bear. Officials urged vigilance and reporting of sightings.
