WHO asks Russia for details after report of second sick Irkutsk lab worker
WHO has asked Russia for details after media reports of a second lab worker with pneumonia. The inquiry follows the death of Darya Shipilova, 28, an employee of the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute, whom Russian authorities said died of pneumonia of an as-yet unestablished origin. Russia says it properly informed WHO. Clarity on testing will determine external confidence.
