China vows 'resolute response' if EU restricts Chinese firms

China said on Sept. 29, 2026 it would deliver a "resolute response" to safeguard its industries if the European Union imposes restrictions on Chinese companies. Brussels has been weighing tougher trade defences to curb its deficit. Two years of tariff talks have yet to resolve the dispute.
