ACT promises to scrap cap on tax breaks for charitable donations

ACT leader David Seymour has promised to scrap the cap on charitable donations eligible for tax benefits. He said on 6 October the move, a preview of the party's fiscal plan, would mean the tax system encouraged generosity towards cancer care and medical research rather than imposing an arbitrary ceiling.
