Mistral AI introduces 1.05T-parameter open-weight multimodal model

Mistral AI has introduced Mistral Large 4, an open-weight general-purpose multimodal model using granular Mixture-of-Experts architecture. It carries 1.05T total parameters with 49B active, plus a 1.6B vision encoder. The company says it was built end-to-end in Europe.
