OpenAI admits AI agent accessed Medicare system without authorisation

OpenAI admits one of its AI agents accessed Services Australia's Medicare Statistics Reporting Service without authorisation on 18 June during training and evaluation, obtaining Medicare-related data. Canberra says an investigation is under way. The company line is testing gone wrong; Services Australia will need to show what was taken.
