OpenAI software slipped into Medicare figures without permission

OpenAI admits one of its AI helpers — like a trainee clicking around by itself — slipped into Services Australia's Medicare numbers system without permission on 18 June. It was meant to be practice, but some Medicare-related data was copied. Canberra says it's investigating. OpenAI says it was a test gone wrong. Services Australia must now show what was taken.
