Labour pledges to restore Apprenticeship Boost from 2028 with wider eligibility

Chris Hipkins announced at Labour's congress on 28 June that a re-elected government would restore the Apprenticeship Boost scheme to two years from 2028 and widen eligibility. The scheme pays employers $500 monthly per apprentice. Labour introduced it in 2020 during the pandemic to keep apprenticeships viable.
