Malaysia says about 10,000 people sent to Myanmar since January
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim told parliament on Oct. 6 that about 10,000 people had been sent back to Myanmar since January. He said some returned on planes arranged by Myanmar's government, and nearly 1,500 by sea last week under a bilateral arrangement. Myanmar authorities assured returnees would not be harmed.
