Post-rate-rise Australian confidence falls to 67.2, lowest since late 1990s

Australians surveyed after the Reserve Bank's 29 September rate rise recorded consumer confidence of 67.2, the lowest since the late 1990s, on the Westpac-Melbourne Institute index. The survey ran 28 September to 1 October, capturing responses before and after the cash rate rose to 4.60%. I see rapid transmission to expectations as the point to watch.
