OpenAI to front four-day AI inquiry over Medicare data access

OpenAI will front the Joint Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence for four days of hearings. Chair Jo Briskey says it must explain how it will stop its models inappropriately accessing Australian data after its agents accessed non-public Medicare data and took far too long to notify. The test is the fix, not the apology.
