OpenAI flags 80% detection limit for textGrain watermark

OpenAI says its textGrain system for EU ChatGPT and Codex output detects its invisible statistical signal with around 80 percent success on shorter text. Editing reduces detection, as does content such as mathematics. The company cautions ideal-condition performance does not guarantee reliable everyday detection.
