
Tennessee prisons chief to resign after Christa Pike's failed execution
Tennessee Correction Commissioner Frank Strada is set to resign after Christa Pike survived two lethal injections, Gov. Bill Lee announced Oct. 3. Strada called the move "in the best interests of Tennessee" and called the ongoing investigation "entirely appropriate and necessary."
