
Nasdaq hits record 27,191 as weak September jobs cool rate-hike bets

The Bureau of Labor Statistics said employers added 29,000 jobs in September, with unemployment steady at 4.2%. Softer hiring eased expectations the Federal Reserve will raise rates. For borrowers, that would mean less upward pressure on credit costs.
