Two Iranian nationals charged over alleged terror plot targeting Manchester Jews

Rahman Salehi, 35, and Salam Ahmadyan, 36, were charged on 2 October 2026 with preparing terrorism over an alleged plot targeting Manchester's Jewish community. Counter-terrorism police say arrests on 20 September, the eve of Yom Kippur, disrupted the suspected plan. Both are due at Westminster magistrates' court on 3 October.
