Ministers plan consultation on free airline seats for under-14s beside parents
The Department for Transport said it will consult on requiring airlines to seat children under 14 next to a parent or accompanying adult free of charge, if Parliament approves the Civil Aviation Bill. It said sitting together can cost up to £104 return. Ministers aim to bring in the change before next summer's holidays.
