
Lyft Agrees to $272.5 Million California Wage-Theft Settlement
Lyft has agreed to pay California $272.5 million to settle claims it misclassified drivers as independent contractors rather than employees. Attorney General Rob Bonta called it the largest wage-theft settlement in state history. The deal, covering April 2016 to December 2020, still requires court approval.
