
Data centers cost PJM's 67 million ratepayers $29 billion, monitor estimates
PJM's Independent Market Monitor estimates data centers have cost its 67 million ratepayers about $29 billion over roughly the past two years. PJM coordinates the grid and wholesale market across 13 states and the District of Columbia, including Northern Virginia, home to the largest concentration of data centers in the world.
