China's Tencent has leased 100,000 chips from Oracle to accelerate its artificial intelligence push, the Financial Times reported. The Edge Malaysia carried the account on Oct. 1, 2026. I see leasing as renting computing power: lower upfront cost than buying, but payments continue whether the chips run hot or sit idle.
