U.S. crude stocks rise to 427.3 million barrels, 2% above average

U.S. commercial crude stocks excluding the Strategic Petroleum Reserve rose 900,000 barrels to 427.3 million barrels in the week ended Sept. 25, about 2% above the five-year average, the Wall Street Journal reported. For drivers, ample storage can ease pressure at the pump, but one small weekly build doesn't set the trend.
