Two Million in England Unaware of Flood Risk to Homes, Agency Says

More than two million people in England do not know their properties face flooding risk, the Environment Agency said 30 September 2026. Six million properties are at risk, with one-third of those affected unaware. The agency urged residents to check risk on gov.uk, sign up for warnings and make a flood plan.
