Russian Tu-95MS bomber crashes in Amur region, killing six crew

A Russian Tu-95MS strategic bomber, capable of carrying, launching and delivering nuclear weapons, crashed minutes after takeoff on a training flight in Amur region in Russia's Far East on 29 September 2026. Six of seven crew died; one was hospitalised. The Defence Ministry said the aircraft carried no ammunition and fell in an uninhabited area.
