Aviva chief warns new flood-zone homes may become uninsurable

Aviva chief executive Amanda Blanc told the BBC's Big Boss Interview podcast England is "for sure" building homes that could become uninsurable, saying flooding threat was "absolutely increasing". Aviva research says nearly a third of 2024 new homes face some flood risk by 2050. About 6.3 million properties at risk, rising to 8 million by mid-century, the Environment Agency says.
