One Nation general manager Kelvin Morton called David Farley an "asshole" in texts sent days before Farley won Farrer for the party in May. The messages followed a Sydney Morning Herald report on Farley's previously undeclared Labor support. Morton was hired in February to improve vetting. One Nation says Farley is "a dedicated One Nation MP".
