Witness says agent kept beating U.S. citizen after acknowledging citizenship

Witness Ryan Garton says a federal agent kept his knee on a Black man’s back and beat him in Evanston, Illinois, on Sunday as the man shouted: "I'm a citizen, leave me alone." Garton says the agent acknowledged knowing the man was a citizen. The man was hospitalized with head, neck and teeth injuries, plus swollen eye and scraped face.
