Michael Kiwanuka reveals severe stroke and long recovery

London singer Michael Kiwanuka, 39, said September 23, 2026, he suffered a severe stroke earlier in 2026 from a brain bleed caused by high blood pressure. He described a 'long tough journey to recovery' with much rehab ahead and thanked NHS staff. He said he is unsure when he will return to touring.
