Six arrested at Gosport marina protest over false asylum boat claim

Hundreds gathered Tuesday evening at Gosport, Hampshire, expecting a small boat carrying asylum seekers. Police said six were arrested after becoming hostile toward officers. The vessel instead landed in Dover around 12:30am Wednesday with 51 people aboard. Four face suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker; two face suspicion of aggravated trespass.
