Escobar Says ICE Officials Blocked Detainee Interviews at Camp East Montana

Rep. Veronica Escobar, Democrat representing El Paso, said federal officials barred her from speaking with detained immigrants during oversight at Camp East Montana, the 5,000-capacity tent camp at Fort Bliss and largest ICE detention center. She told the Guardian she also requested surveillance footage of early-September disturbances but has not received it.
