Greens propose $30,000 donation cap and ban on company donations

The Green Party has drafted an Electoral (Donations) Amendment Bill that would cap donations from one person at $30,000, according to RNZ. The bill would prohibit donations from companies, trusts and other organisations including unions, RNZ reported on 22 September 2026.
