Vermont Man Convicted of Attempted Murder of Three Palestinian Students

Jason Eaton, 51, was convicted September 21, 2026 of three counts of attempted second-degree murder for the November 2023 shooting of Palestinian college students Hisham Awartani, Tahseen Aliahmad and Kinnan Abdalhamid near the University of Vermont in Burlington. Awartani was left paralyzed. The jury deliberated two hours.
