Federal Agents Mistook and Injured U.S. Citizen in Evanston, Police Say

Federal agents detained and injured an Evanston resident after mistaking him for a fugitive with a Chicago address, Evanston police said. Officers found the man with head, neck and teeth injuries. Agents told police they released him after determining he was a U.S. citizen, not the person sought.
