Labour's foundation apprenticeships hit 160 starts against 30,000 target

Labour's foundation apprenticeships recorded 160 starts between August 2025 and April 2026, official figures show, against the government's ambition of 30,000 starts by the end of parliament. The paid jobs with training were launched in August 2025 for young adults. The Fabian Society warned the skills push risks failure over youth unemployment.
