Lib Dems propose £2bn three-month 10p fuel duty cut

The Liberal Democrats have proposed a £2bn cut to fuel duty of 10p a litre for three months. Leader Ed Davey was scheduled to outline the plan at the party conference in Brighton. It follows government extension of a temporary fuel duty reduction, introduced in 2022, to the end of the year.
