Joby completes 3,199-mile autonomous flight across US

Joby Aviation said September 18, 2026 it completed a 3,199-mile coast-to-coast flight with no control inputs from the onboard safety pilot. A compliance pilot remained aboard while the aircraft flew autonomously under remote supervision. Joby described it as the first fully autonomous transcontinental flight.
