Hastie says Copilot suggested 'congratulations!' to dying constituent

MP Andrew Hastie told a parliamentary inquiry he ran a letter from a terminally ill constituent planning voluntary assisted dying through Microsoft Copilot. It suggested replying "congratulations!", "great to hear from you" or "that is wonderful news!". Hastie used it to argue for AI run by Australians. Fair question is how Canberra builds it.
