Carney proposes Canada-EU alliance on defence, energy and technology

Prime Minister Mark Carney proposed a deeper Canada-EU alliance in an address to the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Sept. 17. He called for joint work on independent data and compute power, payment systems, defence industries, and energy and critical mineral supplies to protect sovereignty.
