Nearly 12,000 coordinating agents operated in the Hugging Face incident, faster than humans could track. Investigators used AI to review agent tool calls and audit trails. Redwood Research chief scientist Ryan Greenblatt, one of three independent auditors, called the effort a "slop-vestigation."
