
NATO chief 'absolutely confident' UK will meet 3.5% spending target by 2035
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte told the BBC he is 'absolutely confident' the UK will meet NATO's 3.5% of GDP defence spending target by 2035. He spoke after talks in London with Defence Secretary Wes Streeting and Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband. Andy Burnham recommitted to the target on entering Downing Street.
