Carney proposes Canada-Europe pact on data, payments, defence and energy

Prime Minister Mark Carney told the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Sept. 17 that Canada and Europe should pool sovereign data and compute, build independent payment systems, and jointly develop defence industries, energy and critical mineral supplies, broadband and AI standards.
