Israel Approved E1 Plan That Would Split West Bank in Two

In August, Israel approved the E1 settlement project east of Jerusalem. The plan envisions construction on a strategic patch of occupied West Bank land. If built, it would effectively split the West Bank in two, further fragmenting territory envisioned for a Palestinian state. Approval does not yet mean construction has begun.
