Pew Survey: 34 of 37 Countries Expect AI to Cause Net Job Loss

In 34 of 37 countries, adults expect AI to cause net job loss over the next 20 years, Pew Research Center found in a survey of 42,151 people conducted February 8 to May 13. Job-loss expectations reached 76% in Australia and South Korea and 71% in the US. The report was published September 17, 2026.
