N.L. opens four-day debate on 50-year Hydro-Québec framework

Premier Tony Wakeham opened a four-day debate in the Newfoundland and Labrador legislature on a resolution endorsing a 50-year framework to share Labrador hydroelectricity with Hydro-Québec. Legislators were expected to vote on the draft deal. If passed, negotiators hope to conclude final agreements by year-end.
