
LA Homeless Nonprofit Founder Charged With Embezzling $7.5 Million
Federal prosecutors charged Michael Young, 46, founder of Culver City nonprofit Home At Last, with wire fraud for allegedly embezzling over $7.5 million from Los Angeles County homelessness contracts. Prosecutors allege he funneled taxpayer funds through shell companies into a nightclub, bingo hall and high-end restaurant. Young was arrested Sept. 16.
