Obama Presidential Center Opens to Public on Juneteenth

The Obama Presidential Center opened to the general public on June 19, 2026, the day after its official dedication ceremony in Chicago. The timing to Juneteenth was deliberate, announced well in advance by the Obama Foundation. The privately funded facility on Chicago's South Side is now open for visitors, following performances by Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, and Bono at the dedication ceremony.
