Google Opens Home Devices to Third-Party AI Agents via MCP

Google opened early access September 16, 2026, to a Model Context Protocol server for Google Home. MCP-compatible agents including Claude, ChatGPT, Hermes, OpenClaw and Google Antigravity can control devices and query event history. Setup requires a Google Cloud project, agent configuration and user sign-in with permissions.
